Biological Monitoring in Tampa Bay

Our Biological Monitoring Program collects data for the estuarine waters of Tampa Bay, including segments of Manatee and Pinellas counties.  Benthic organisms living in sediments are an excellent indicator of the health of our environment.   Data from this program has been used with our water quality monitoring data to assess the overall health of Tampa Bay since 1993.
