The Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) lobby remains open during the COVID-19 emergency as of 3/20/2020.  Lobby hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online, phone and email services are still operational. Staff is working remotely and will continue to perform application/document reviews, on-line meetings, field inspections and investigations.

The Administration Division provides support to our four regulatory divisions.  The Division also provides information and services to the public such as the following:

The division has the following departments:


  • Coordinates outreach events
  • Handles speaker requests
  • Coordinates media releases
  • Manages publication and education materials
  • Handles public relations

Human Resources

  • Handles personnel matters (e.g. – record keeping, promotions, reclassification, etc.)
  • Processes new hires
  • Training and support on HR matters

 Legal Department

  • Assists the regulatory division with enforcement and permitting challenges
  • Handles agency-wide public records requests
  • Analyzes and comments on legislation and rulemaking
  • Handles other litigation
  • Responds to Commissioners’ legal questions
  • Provides training and support on HR and ethics
  • Reviews contracts, MOUs, and agreements
  • Maintains administrative hearing final orders   

 Finance Department

  • Coordinates the purchase of all goods and services
  • Manages the EPC’s payroll
  • Prepares and manages the budget
  • Manages the use of P-cards

Management Information Systems (MIS) Department

  • Maintains our technology and communication systems
  • Maintains our website
  • Develops and maintains our databases
  • Develops and maintains GIS mapping for staff and citizens
