The Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) lobby remains open during the COVID-19 emergency as of 3/20/2020.  Lobby hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online, phone and email services are still operational. Staff is working remotely and will continue to perform application/document reviews, on-line meetings, field inspections and investigations.

Air Pollution Advisory

The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County is issuing an Air Pollution Advisory due to elevated levels of the pollutant OZONE.  This advisory is effective immediately, today May 10, 2018.  We are experiencing elevated levels of ozone in Hillsborough County and expect levels to reach the Air Quality Index of Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.

 Air Quality Index values from 101 - 150 are considered Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.  Individuals with pre-existing respiratory ailments, the elderly or the very young may want to take this into consideration when planning any outside activities.  This alert remains in effect until dusk today; however, ozone levels typically decrease during the night.
