TAMPA, FL - The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County (EPC) has been selected as one of the Tampa Bay area’s Top 100 Workplaces for the second year in a row. The survey, conducted by the Tampa Bay Times, is a prestigious employee-driven designation that evaluates 24 factors including organizational health, values, and employee satisfaction. The results of this survey demonstrate how promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace translates into an engaged and valued workforce.
Employees rated their work experience as rewarding, with an inviting culture and most importantly they consider the people they work with as family. “EPC is a family where employees help our environment, community and each other,” says Executive Director Janet Dougherty. Of the 186 organizations participating this year, the Environmental Protection Commission was honored as a Top 50 Small Workplace, ranking an impressive 18th in that category.
“Our diverse staff feels empowered, connected and valued in their environmental stewardship. They are dedicated professionals who continuously strive to achieve the highest standard of environmental excellence,” says Dougherty. “It is through their hard work and dedication, the support of our Board and the citizens that the Environmental Protection Commission is able to advance its mission to protect our natural resources, environment, and quality of life in Hillsborough County.”
