Water Mission Statement
The mission of the Water Management Division is to protect, conserve and restore
surface and ground water resources of the county necessary for the protection
and preservation of public health, safety, and welfare. The Division is also
charged to maintain the purity of all waters consistent with public health and public
enjoyment thereof as well as the propagation and protection of wildlife, birds,
game, fish and other aquatic life. The Division accomplishes it's mission
by providing reasonable control and regulation of activities which cause or
contribute to water pollution through the implementation of regulatory and environmental
monitoring programs. |
