Petroleum Cleanup
The Waste Management Division administers the agency’s
Petroleum Cleanup Program under contract with the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection (FDEP). This includes regulatory and technical
oversight of pay-for-performance, petroleum cleanup participation
program, pre-approval program, pre-approved advanced cleanup program,
enforcement and voluntary cleanup sites. Information on
pay-for-performance and program sites is available by accessing the FDEP
Internet site.
Technical oversight and support is also provided to
other intra- and inter-division programs. These include industrial
permitting, solid and hazardous waste site assessment and rehabilitation
and Director’s Authorization reviews. Information is also maintained
regarding Superfund sites, CERCLA sites and old landfills/abandoned
dumps in Hillsborough County.
