Industrial Wastewater

Industrial Wastewater Program

The purpose of the Industrial Wastewater Program is to improve and protect the quality of groundwater and surface water resulting from industrial activities. This goal is achieved  through permitting, compliance, and public education.

What is Industrial Wastewater?

Industrial Wastewater is process and non-process wastewater generating from manufacturing, commercial, mining, and silvicultural facilities or activities.  This includes the runoff and leachate from areas that receive pollutants associated with industrial or commercial storage, handling or processing, and all other wastewater not otherwise defined as domestic wastewater.
