ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECTS

 Progress Energy and the Tampa Electric Company (TECO) have recently filed applications to extend transmission line corridors that cut across Florida, which may impact properties in Hillsborough County.  The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) is the lead agency responsible for coordinating the interagency review and certification (licensing) under the three "Siting Acts" and provides assistance concerning Siting Coordination.  The public may access information regarding applications in progress online.

to review the proposed final route and ask questions.

NATURAL GAS PIPELINE PROJECT

Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) has recently submitted a proposal to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to expand their Natural Gas Pipeline.  FERC is the lead federal agency for the development of the Environmental Impact Statement for the FGT Phase VIII Expansion Project.  A portion of the expansion project is located within Hillsborough County.  To access information concerning this project, please visit FERC eLibrary.  To subscribe for regular updates regarding this project, please register through FERC eSubscription. Additionally, you may comment on this project at FERC eFiling. 

When using the elibrary, Enter the new Docket Number, CP09-17, verify the date range includes October 31, 2008 and press Submit.  This new Docket Number was issued after PF08-14.
