EPC is home to a thriving Toastmasters Club that meets weekly during lunch. The Club, once held in the County Center, transitioned to our Sabal Park location in 2012. Since then, the membership has more than doubled. The club fosters the goals of developing communication and leadership skills in a supportive learning environment. The club has earned the highest distinction that can be awarded to a Toastmaster Club, the “Presidents Distinguished Award,” for the last four years running. Most recently the club was recognized in the District 48 newsletter, SPEAK OUT!, for their work and enthusiasm which makes them stand out!
Toastmasters serves as a tool to not only improve communication skills, but allows others in the Tampa Bay area to be exposed to EPC and the work we do here in Hillsborough County. Toastmasters is where leaders are made and our club is open. We always welcome those that may have an interest in joining Toastmasters or those who simply wish to meet us to find out more about our club and what we do.
Toastmasters has joined forces with Pathways, the new Interactive Online tool that helps cater your speeches and leadership roles to meeting a specific goal such as Master Presenter or Visionary Leader. Currently the club runs the Traditional Toastmaster Program (until June 2020), as well as the New Pathways Program.
Hillsborough Toastmaster Savita Epps, VP of Public Relations, planned a Field Trip in July at Pinot Palette after achieving the President’s Distinguished Award in June. By all accounts, it was a “Toasty Good Time!”
